IT'S OKAY TO TALK

Andy’s Man Club is a men’s suicide prevention charity, which aims to break down the stigma around men’s mental health. Here is a little bit about the valuable work carried out by the chosen charity of Cubby Studio.

Every Monday evening at 7pm, men gather across the UK and can open up about the issues affecting their lives in a non-judgmental environment. The clubs are free of pressure, there is no obligation to speak and visitors can simply listen if they choose, but the fundamental message is that #ItsOkayToTalk.

OUR CHOSEN CHARITY

Our connection with Andy's Man Club goes back to 2021, when we met Neil Waine, a Project Development Champion from the charity, speaking at a networking event about reaching 'That One Man'.

Andy’s Man Club officially became our chosen charity partner from 2022, since when we have been donating a percentage of our annual income, along with offering free design services where required. Through these small gestures, by creating this web page, and by letting other businesses know about it, we try in our small way to assist this fantastic movement.

"We’re grateful to partners like Cubby Studio who help us continue our work. Supporting men’s mental health is something every business can contribute to, whether through fundraising, awareness, or volunteering" Sasha, from AMC Marketing & Partnerships

IN THEIR OWN WORDS

"With thousands of men using our sessions every week, and an army of volunteers on board, the movement is continuing to grow week-by-week. We firmly believe in the power of talking and that #ItsOkayToTalk.

The aim of the club is to provide men with a safe space where they feel comfortable to talk and open up about their experiences in a room free of judgment."

THE HEART OF AMC

"At Andy's Man Club, our trained facilitators are at the heart of every session. They create a safe, welcoming space where men can talk openly about their mental health, share experiences, and support one another.

Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning regularly, our facilitators are there to listen, guide conversations, and ensure everyone feels included. Their dedication helps break the stigma around men’s mental health and builds a strong, supportive community for all."

DOING MORE

We need to do more to stop people from taking their own life. Even with so much media and corporate attention on wellbeing, mental health and fighting anxiety, male suicide is still the biggest killer of men under 50 in the UK.

Ross, Cubby Studio Founder and Creative Director says:

"It’s sad to think that these people are suffering and can’t see a light. Not at the end of any tunnel, but everywhere, all around. There’s so much to live for, so much joy to be found and experienced. When I think of my darkest moments and any anxiety that floods my mind, it’s my family and friends that pulled me through. Connections. Supporting Andy’s Man Club is the least we can do to help men around the UK find that support and have a life full of tomorrows."

It is incredibly important to speak openly about mental health, and it genuinely makes a huge difference. Sharing experiences can reduce feelings of isolation, and provide real support for men in need.
